Workforce

Businesses locating in Platte City will find workforce to be abundant and well educated.  The 25 businesses surveyed in 2010 gave aggregate ratings on the availability, quality, stability and productivity of workforce (on a scale of 1-7) between 5.62 – 5.88. Of businesses surveyed 48% projected an increase in employment needs while 52% expected to remain stable.  Ninety four percent of businesses reported no unfilled positions as of the survey date. Current employers invest in employee training with all utilizing both on the job and outside training opportunities. All reported maintaining their current level of training or increasing their investment.
