As one of the fastest growing areas in the state of Missouri, Platte City is experiencing a change in demographics. Upon review of the Demographic and Income Profile Report generated by Esri Business Analyst the following trends were reported:

Demographic trends within a 3 mile ring of Platte City show continued population growth, an increase in number of households, families and owner occupied households into the year 2015. Population by age trends is showing a decrease in average age by 2015 to 25-34 down from 35-44 in 2010. Median household income trends show the Platte City area falling slightly behind state and national averages. Average household income is expected to reach $89,691 by 2015.
