Welcome Program – Residents new to the Platte City area are welcomed by the Chamber through an in home visit. New residents are given gifts and information supplied by chamber members enrolled in the program.

Member to Member Discount Program – The Member to Member discount program provides member businesses the opportunity to offer exclusive discounts to fellow chamber members. Chamber Bucks – Chamber Bucks are a great way to ensure that dollars are spent in Platte City!  Chamber Bucks are bank checks designed to function as a gift certificate. The check is convenient for participating businesses as they can be deposited with the day’s receipts. A list of participating members accompanies the bucks.

Staples Advantage – Chamber members enjoy significant discounts on office and janitorial supplies as well as office furniture purchased online by enrolling in the Staples Advantage program through the chamber. In store discounts are also available by registering your credit card with Staples. An automatic 10% discount is applied at check out. Ribbon Cuttings – Businesses that are new to the area or are celebrating a recent addition, renovation or new ownership can request a ribbon cutting performed by the chamber. Contact the chamber office to schedule a date. Click here to download your request form.

Educational Workshops – Workshops are sponsored by the chamber to assist businesses in their pursuit of success. Workshop topics are relevant to today’s business challenges.  

Facebook – Become a fan of the chamber’s facebook page! Read about upcoming events, member successes, legislative updates and business services available to you. Our facebook link is on the web site front page.

Twitter – Follow the chamber on Twitter! Keep apprised of events, news as it happens or meeting reminders. Our Twitter link can be found on the web site front page.

Speed Networking – Two speed networking events are held each year. One is a combined event with other Platte County chambers. The second is held in conjunction with a membership luncheon. Both are created to assist members in expanding their market.

Membership Luncheons – Membership luncheons are held on the third Thursday of every month except in December. Utilize this valuable networking opportunity to promote your business. Guest speakers cover topics relevant to the business community.

After Hours – Hosted by Chamber members these events are a great way to show off your service or product while providing an opportunity to fellow members to network. After Hours are held on a quarterly basis.

Web Site – plattecitymo.com provides members with exposure to site visitors. The most frequently visited area of the site is the membership directory. Members are listed categorically, making them easy to locate.

e-Newsletters – Constant Contact allows the chamber to effectively communicate with members each month detailing upcoming events and other newsworthy information.     

Member Directory – A membership directory is printed each fall. Member businesses are listed by category. Directories are given to each member business and distributed through the welcome bags.

Membership Mailing Labels – Mailing addresses (in electronic format) are complimentary to Chamber members. Addresses provided on a disc or on pre-printed labels are available to Chamber members for a small fee. Contact the Chamber office to order.
